Sometimes I like to set my still life paintings in the context of a landscape, prompting the onlooker to consider the story that lies behind the objects on a table or the view through an open window or door.
I might include a favourite jug which has been in the family for generations or use a pattern inspired by wild sloe berries gathered on a walk.
